MUSIC & FILMMAKING

My path into film directing began with a deep love for music. My father wasn’t a professional musician, yet he was an extraordinarily talented one, with a divinely beautiful voice. In his youth, he was obsessed with Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and many other great bands, performing their songs with genuine passion. He was also a gifted visual artist.

After receiving a secondary music education, I followed in his footsteps and learned a few musical instruments to varying degrees. I became a music lover long before I became a cinephile, and before I pursued formal film education and started making my own films and music videos, I was already studying the fundamentals of dramaturgy and acting through the work of my most beloved mentors: David Bowie, The Cure, Bauhaus, Kate Bush, Iggy Pop, Current 93, and Psychic TV.
