ABOUT WORKING ON A MUSIC VIDEO – part 2
When creating a music video, the director’s main task is to develop and implement an original idea and a presentation of images that will not only meet the expectations of the artist and their vision, but also allow them to bring something fresh and unexpected to the image itself and the perception of the music as a whole. ⠀ Often, directors have their own recognizable style and language, and musicians and artists may approach them specifically because they want to shoot a video in the style and mood that the director works in.
This is that unique case when a musician finds his director, and vice versa. When a musician and a director are ‘on the same wavelength,’ that’s already half the battle.
My directing style is characterized by touches of surrealism. That’s why people come to me as a director when they want to create unusual video content with a mystical and sensual mood. In addition, I have a musical education and a strong background as a music lover, which helps me a lot when working with musicians.
